Sign-in and SSO
Email and password, Google, and single sign-on through your own identity provider.
Ways to sign in
- Email and password. Passwords are at least 10 characters. A new account is only created once you click the confirmation link sent to your address, which is valid for 24 hours.
- Continue with Google.
- Continue with SSO, once your organization has set it up.
Sessions last 14 days.
Setting up SSO
Datachef supports single sign-on with any OpenID Connect (OIDC) provider, including Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Auth0, Ping and Keycloak. Only organization owners can change SSO settings.
- Verify your company domain. SSO only signs people in at domains your organization has verified.
- In your identity provider, create an OIDC application for Datachef.
- In Datachef, open Settings → Domains & SSO and enter the Issuer URL, Client ID and Client secret from that application.
- Test it by signing in with Continue with SSO from a private browser window.
- Optionally, turn on Require SSO. This disables password sign-in for your organization, so everyone signs in through your identity provider.
